Samenvatting
Overview of the way the issues of cultural rights and artistic freedom have been dealt with in the past fifty years and in the present situation in Europe. The book is partly based on the discussions at the Gulliver meeting in 1998 in Vienna at Kultur Kontakt. The Gulliver meetings bring European intellectuals and artists together to discuss the importance of cultural rights and the possibilities for implementing cultural rights into cultural policy. They are organised by the Felix Meritis Foundation in Amsterdam.
