Compatible statistics for the costs and incomes of performing arts organizations in the USSR and the USA are difficult to find, but the authors gathered some useful data to offer some rudimentary analysis. After an overall view of perfoming arts activities in both countries, statistical data are added about incomes, expenses etc. for music and theatre.
