Cultural policy systems in Europe : lessons for the Dutch to learn?

With the review of the Dutch cultural policy system imminent, author examines if there are lessons from practice elsewhere which might help lessen the pain and potential damage for the future. Short survey of some of the different cultural systems in Western Europe with an emphasis on the British planning system.
