Abstract
Foreign films, once prominent in American theaters, were after 1915 overtaken bij the U.S. industry. Ever since, the Hollywood cartel has dominated the production and exhibition of movies domestically and around the world. History of the foreign film in America, looking at the attempts of foreign producers to increase their American presence. Cultural differences are revealed between foreign artistic expression and that of the Americans.
