Abstract
Anthropological research on unbuilt projects and what is officially termed 'undesirable architecture' in Vienna. In this city there is a particular field of tension existing with regard to the integration of contemporary architecture into the historic city. Four contemporary projects rejected or transformed under pressure, or an enormous resistance, are looked upon from various opponents.
