Abstract
Texts of a number of papers delivered at the `Second World Congress on Heritage Presentation and Interpretation'. It provides a comprehensive 'state of the art' review of current interpretive philosophy, theory, practice and research and comprises papers which examine the interpretation of both the natural and built environment, and the role and nature of training in interpretation. This volume also includes a number of the specially invited Keynote papers at the Congress which address the status and philosophy of heritage interpretation as we are about to enter the last decade of the twentieth century and critically analyse the current direction of heritage interpretation and what has come to be termed the `heritage industry'.
