Abstract
The papers fall into three categories: those which discribe the basic economic conditions facing the performing arts;those which more broadly describe the environment in which the performing arts perform,while the third group represents papers aimed at actions which arts organizations can take to better reach their audiences and thereby improve their economic conditions. Volume 2 of the Proceedings of the second international conference on cultural economics and planning which was held May 26-28, 1982 in Maastricht. The conference wa ssponsored o.a. by the Boekman Foundation.
