Samenvatting
Proceedings of a conference on heritage, culture and community, held in 1997 in Portugal, organized by ATLAS, the European Association for Tourism and Leisure Education. Four case studies are presented. Bruce relates tourism to history and local pride on behalf of an overview of brochures of a hundred walled towns and cities; Chaplin, Wank-Lamas and Man way present a case study on a fortress in Macau; Jones, Warde and Frampton focus on Welsh heritage attractions; and Puczko looks at the Budapest Spring Festival, an annual event since 1981. |
