Samenvatting Publishing became industrialized in the early nineteenth century, but why this should have affected poetry, was not immediately clear. There seemed to be a need for an exploration of the economic connections between the publication of literary forms and market conditions. An investigation into the publishing market and its mechanisms would help to explain the relations in the early nineteenth century among genres. |
