Samenvatting Report on the annual ECA conference 2004 held on the 8th and 9th of October 2004 in Amsterdam. Thema of the conference was: A portrait of the artist in 2015. Aim of the meeting was to intensify the exchange between artists throughout Europe and to stimulate the European higher arts education to properly prepare onrushing artists for a fast-changing professional practice. How is professional practice changing for artists in Europe? What contribution do the educational courses make to this? What sort of future expectations do art students and young creative artists have?
Paper held in Vilnius on 23 april 2004 at the ECA-conference ‘A Portrait of the Artist in 2015’. |
