Samenvatting
Collection of papers from the symposium `The role of museums and the arts in the urban renewal of Liverpool' (Tate Gallery, Liverpool 21st October 1995). Starting with the broad view of recent urban regeneration and heritage revitalisation policy, the focus is then shifted to some museums as study cases. This is followed by a discussion of the so-called `Creative quarter' of Liverpool and an explanation of the work of LARCAA, an example of community art working for the defence of the rights of ethnic minorities.
