Samenvatting Through the lenses of around 50 artists and allies from over 40 countries, this program explored the intersection of contemporary art, activism, politics, law, research, technology, ethics and organizing. Can artists be truly autonomous, or do they have to be supported by an institution? The main takeaway from that discussion was that artists should fight to have that space as individuals, it is crucial for the nature of their craft. However, they cannot fight for it on their own. The main theme of the program was the aspect of the front lines. But what are the front lines? Is it a “what” or a “who”?
