Samenvatting
In 2008, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) initiated a four-year programme called Connect2Culture which aimed to investigate and to develop the evolving role of culture in the discussion on sustainable environment. Dossier summarises ASEF's work, as well as reflects on the issues related to arts and sustainability raised by experts involved in the programme from different artistic and cultural sectors in Asia and Europe. Dossier also contains two discussion papers: Arts, culture and sustainability : visions for the future, discussion paper from arts, culture and sustainability workshop building synergies between asia and europe, copenhagen 2009 by Mary Ann Devlieg and The art of sustainable living : a creative approach to global social and environmental crises by David Haley and Jaya Iyer. And dossier includes a database of cultural professionals related to the environment.
