Samenvatting
In 2007, The Netherlands Institute for Heritage investigated the state of diversity in the heritage sector. The study revealed that diversity was not by any means embedded in the policy of the Dutch heritage institutions, although it had made it on to the agenda of most of those organisations as a topic or theme. Initiatives that will make a genuine difference include offering toolkits, sharing knowledge and experience, finding inspiration, experimenting, and cooperating with others. The Netherlands Institute for Heritage has therefore set itself the aim of developing such initiatives. One key example is its database of good practices in the area of diversity, drawn from within and outside the heritage sector. Paper. |
