Samenvatting
Publication contains contributions of the discussions and conclusions reached at the conference 'The protection of cultural diversity from an international and European perspective' in 2007. It was organized by the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University in cooperation with the Boekman Foundation Amsterdam. The aim of the conference was to discuss the space for national policies to protect and promote cultural diversity. In this publication attention is paid to the relationship between the protection of cultural diversity and international trade law. Also the UNESCO convention is discussed from different points of view. Furthermore it focuses on the protection of cultural diversity and policy making in European Union. |
