Samenvatting
The Arts Council of England's first national strategy for the arts, health and wellbeing. Between 2006 and 2008, they are investing £1.1 billion of public funds from Government and the National Lottery. The ambition is to put the arts at the heart of national life and people at the heart of the arts and to give the opportunity for everyone in the country to develop a rich and varied artistic and creative life. The aim also is to develop a more confident, diverse and innovative arts sector which is valued by and in tune with the communities it serves; more active participation in the arts by adults and young people; The agenda for 2006-8 has six priorities: taking part in the arts; children and young people; the creative economy; vibrant communities; internationalism; celebrating diversity.
