Samenvatting
On 28 January in Amsterdam's Smart Project Space, Sica and Trans Artists organised the meeting 'Tolerance and hospitality : artist-in-residencies and guesthouses in the Netherlands'. Daniëlle van Zuijlen, Arno van Roosmalen (Stroom) and representatives of the artists initiative 1646 talked about the motivation of foreign artists to come to work in the Netherlands, about the functioning of residence places in the local cultural infrastructure and possible future scenarios in view of the Municipal Election of March 2010. After the meeting SICA handed over the first copy of Dutch Mountains (a new English language culture magazine) to Isabelle Mallez, director of Maison Descartes and president of EUNIC.
