Samenvatting There is a growing understanding that in order to preserve the cultural heritage successfully, it is necessary to actively involve the public. If the public feels a sense of responsibility and understands the decision processes involved, a stronger basis for the conservation of cultural heritage can be achieved. The conservation and restoration professions should become more transparent and interactive with the community they serve. Therefore, the ICOM-CC 2005 Congress aims to start a dialogue between the conservation and restoration society and the public at large. Congress newspaper. |
