These cities were: Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Thessaloniki, Stockholm, Weimar, Avignon, Bergen, Santiago de Compostella, Porto, Rotterdam, Bruges, Salamanca, Graz, Genoa and Lille. Subjects are: Cultural programme and impact; Infrastructure; Communication, promotion and media response; European perspectives and dimension; Sharing the title; Economic perspectives; Visitor perspectives; Monitoring and evaluation; Legacy and long-term effects. Study also documents the initiative of European cultural months from 1995 till 2003 (Nicosia, St. Petersburg, Ljubljana, Linz, Valletta, Plovdiv, Basel and Riga).
