Samenvatting
Different approaches to culture, new media and technology. First the part: Archaeologies of the machine: examined the heterogeneous genealogies of the machine as a philosophical concept and cultural construct. The second part: Politics and uses; contains a series of essays that primarily concerns themselves with questions around the politics and uses of media and technology. Finally the part: Questioning the unrepresentable; contains a selection of writings that shows the different aspects of the presence of the unrepresentable as an experiential rift in contemporary culture and society. In detail are three instances of the unrepresentable considered in detail: infinity, rupture and the secret.
