Samenvatting
The development of digital technology has brought far-reaching changes in reading and writing practices, and is the driving force behind major transformations, both social and spatiotemporal. Against this background artistic and cultural organizations have had to increase their visibility. The purpose of the study was to achieve better understanding of the transmedia cultural experience through narrative transportation process, and to explore the ways in which recipient audiences can appropriate a transmedia device and be carried away by a narrative, which is liable to promote their engagement with the subject of the story and the transmedia device. Qualitative methodology was used in this study. Semi-directive interviews were conducted with transmedia professionals and users.
