Radbourne examines how to measure the demand for a new arts centre, looking at strenghts and weaknesses of the existing business-school theories to arrive at the potential for maximum occupancy and use of a cultural facility. Working with the 'Gravity theory' and 'Central place theory' as starting points, she selects four performing arts centres in Australia. Using these centres as case-studies, Radbourne develops her theory.
