Samenvatting
T.S.Eliot devoted a great deal of thought and writing to social theory and cultural criticism. The author places Eliot's cultural critique alongside Adorno's own views, Adorno who suggested to appropriate conservative thinking for progressive revolutionary thinking. The author concludes by briefly considering Eliot's views on the cultural functions and dangers of art, which connect him once again with the Marxist cultural criticism of Adorno. |
