Samenvatting
Growing visitor numbers are supposed to have positive effects for the local society, especially in terms of income and employment, but the pressure of tourism is likely to become excessive. Negative effects are emerging because tourism then can be damaging the local environment, the monuments or the population, as is the case in the historic centre of Venice, the city that serves as an example for this article. |
