Samenvatting Students from all over Europe took part in the second course of this series on redefining cultural identities. Both courses reflect the need to approach cultural identity issues in the light of transitional developments, the disintegration of Yugoslavia and an intense effort by all Southeast European societies to invest in finding new ways of communication in the new international setting. These papers deal specifically with Southeastern Europe and Balkan cultures, where borderlines and border areas seem to have a major impact on the redefinition of identities in Southeastern Europe. |
