Samenvatting In what extent do international cultural policies now reflect both the macro developments that have taken place and the changes in cultural practice. Does cultural diplomacy remain a potent force or has it been superseded by new imperatives? Are trade or cultural ministries setting the agenda or are foreign affairs ministries still pulling the strings? Which role play regions and cities in international cultural co-operation? These and other questions were discussed at the Round Table conference organised by Circle. Survey, in the form of case studies, of the international cultural policy of Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway and Finland. |
