Selection of papers presented at the international conference on culture and development. The aim was a further examination of two themes of the report `Our creative diversity': global ethics and cultural diversity and creativity and communication. Themes of the working groups were: Gender and culture, children and young people, cultural heritage for development, culture and environment. Investigation of the research needs and the role of researchers in the international agenda.
