Include us out : economic development and social policy in the creative industries

Critical survey of the governement's notion that support for the creative industries may help to tackle economic and social exclusion. Indeed, the autor suggests that the effects of gentrification, the patterns of informal hiring and career progression and the concentration of much economic activity in London and the South-East rather exacerbate than address patterns of economic inequality.
