Making data work : a scoping study to develop a mixed-methods evaluation framework for culture

There is increasing interest in the role, value and contribution of the cultural sector to national life and a recognition that cultural datasets are currently in a poor state of development and not fit for purpose. Better data about the cultural sector would support better research and decision making, within organisations and in the policy, funding and infrastructure organisations that support cultural activities.
