Samenvatting
The liberalisation of the audiovisual sector has been on the GATT-agenda ever since its creation in 1948. While the US was undisputedly pushing for liberalisation in this sector, the EU (France particularly) was just as consequently refraining from doing so. The Uruguay Round however meant the start of a new era in trade negotiations, with a fundamental impact on the audiovisual sector. Paper.
