Examination of constructions, representations, imaginations and theories of urban space and cityscapes in modern and contemporary culture. Examples of the urban development of Berlin, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Jakarta, London and other metropoles. The topics are organized around three themes: image, text and form. Exploration of the relationship between urban space and identity, memory, technology, class, gender, nation and ethnicity.
