Distributing music on cell phones, personal digital assistants, laptops, MP3 players and other portable digital devices presents a series of unique legal challenges. Telecommunication companies are seeking new ways to increase overall revenue. The new media offer opportunities to increase the manner in which music is exploited by copyright owners. Can the copyright owners lawfully wrap their content in a way that prevents copying?
