Contains the readings and introductions of the seminar and the results of an investigation of employment in the cultural sector in six European countries, namely Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Russia. The seminar part is divided in introductions; the state of the art of employment in the cultural sector; cultural employment in a national, European and local perspective; and employment in three cultural subsectors: the heritage, the performing arts, the audiovisual.
