Cultural tourism makes a significant contribution to economic and community development. It is also a means of preserving a nation's cultural heritage. Cultural organizations such as museums, symphony orchestras and festivals have formed partnerships with tour operators to create initiatives that can serve as models for similar efforts across the U.S.
